After deciding to shut down its MSN Messenger service after 15 years, Microsoft is passing its twitter account (@messenger) to Facebook.
The MSN Messenger was also known as Windows Live Messenger.
In a tweet earlier this week, Redmond-based Microsoft said it is gifting the Twitter account to Facebook later this month for the social network's Messenger service.
Now that messenger is part of @Skype, on Sept 30th, the @Messenger twitter account will transition @Facebook. Thank you all for your support
